On Saturday afternoon, the Minnesota Motor Squirt B’s took on Long Prairie at the Fergus Falls Community Ice Arena. In a spirited affair that saw 15 combined goals and last minute heriocs from both sides, the story of the day just may have been Joseph Vaughn’s 23 saves for the home side in goal. Noah Tarczon scored first to get Fergus Falls on the board.

Tarczon also assisted on Chance Fazio’s goal in the first period. From there, Chance Fazio and Gavin Lindberg each scored to paced the Minnesota Motor team to a 5-3 lead heading into the third period. Long Prairie fought back hard scoring 4 goals in the third, but the Minnesota Motor team showed no quit as Chance Fazio completed his hat trick late in the third period to bring Fergus to within one.

With the extra attacker out on the ice for the home team Gavin Lindberg scored to complete his hat trick with 29 seconds left, taking the game into over time. Fergus Falls was unable to stop the momentum.

Fergus Falls would go on to lose 8-7.
