Luke Hoffman, a Fergus Falls native and cadet with the Army ROTC program at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, recently completed the Leadership Development and Assessment Course (LDAC) at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash.

Hoffman, a business administration major with a minor in military science, completed the LDAC as the capstone of his ROTC training. After the LDAC, Hoffman graduated from airborne school at Fort Benning, Ga.

The LDAC is attended by cadets in the summer months between their junior and senior years of college. It totals 29 consecutive days of training and leadership evaluation in skills such as physical fitness, land navigation, grenade assault course, first aid, radio procedures, field craft and tactics.

The cadet’s performance at LDAC plays a significant role in their placement and position in their future careers in the U.S. Army.
