Family requests information on pioneers [UPDATED]

Leif Erikson, Sons of Norway, has received a request for information about a Vining area family here around 1900. If you have any information, contact the family.

The family writes: “We are wondering if could be possible to find out more of our Norwegian family up there in Vining, any hope of finding out more of our roots from norway would be wonderful.”

This is the information the family has: Ingebright, a family member, carpenter in Vining, overseer of Nidaros Church which was inaugurated in 1872.

Great-grandparents: Jorgine Ollegaard Haagensen born in Norway, in Vining at age 16; married to Thomas Hoganson of Minneapolis area, now buried in St. Anthony area.
