Perham man killed in accident

A Perham man was killed Saturday morning after his pickup truck rolled on County Highway 51, north of Perham.

Duane Joseph Reed, 56, was driving north on the highway around 2 a.m., law enforcement reported. He failed to negotiated a curve in the road near 475th Street and drove into the opposite ditch, rolling several times.

Reed was not wearing his seatbelt and was thrown from the vehicle. He was taken by ambulance to Perham Health Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Law enforcement does not know if alcohol was a factor.
