The Hillcrest Lady Comets picked up a 57-28 victory over Rothsay on Thursday night in Fergus Falls. Abby Monacelli had 21 points and Gracia Larson scored 14, while grabbing 10 rebounds for Hillcrest.

“We played a good aggressive game and our quickness was the difference,” said Allen Aase, Comets’ coach. “Abby had her best game of the season hitting from the outside and making her layups on the fast break.”

Hillcrest forced 24 turnovers, while the Tigers only forced 13 turnovers.

Ashley Maach scored 10 points for the Lady Tigers and Lexy Dunbard scored eight points. Emma Larson controlled seven rebounds.

“I thought Rothsay played a much more aggressive game and hurt us several times with offensive rebounds,” said Aase.
