Food taken from Underwood home [UPDATED]

An Underwood man received a spicy surprise on Sunday when he discovered that a gallon of jalapenos had been taken from his home.

The purloined pepper parcel wasn’t the only foodstuff missing from the home on 304 North Main St. The man also reported as stolen 10 pounds of hamburger, some pork chops, frozen burritos and hot sauce. He believes the items were taken between noon and 2 p.m.

The sheriff’s office is investigating the circumstances surrounding the missing food.
