Fergus Falls students perform in honor band festival [UPDATED]

The North West Region of the Minnesota Band Directors Association hosted an Honor Band Festival on Saturday, Jan. 21 at Fergus Falls High School.

Students from 21 schools were nominated by their respective directors to participate in the one day event.

The day consisted of full rehearsals and sectionals.

There were two separate sixth- through eighth-grade Honor Bands and one ninth through 10th Honor band.

Dr. Nathaniel Dickey (Concordia College, Moorhead), Mr. Joel Wood (retired, Alexandria) and Mr. Lee Kjesbo (retired, Buffalo) served as guest conductors for the day long event.
