Paul Arden Sundby, 54, of Vergas

Paul Sundby, died Thursday, Jan. 26, 2012, at Sanford Health in Fargo.

Paul was born March 17, 1957, in Pelican Valley Hospital in Pelican Rapids, the son of William and Elaine (Toso) Sundby. He graduated from Rothsay High School in 1975.

Paul worked and was a bulk truck driver at the I-94 Mobil and Danielson Oil in Rothsay, for several years. He drove a charter bus for Red River Trails out of Moorhead. After driving charter bus, Paul worked as a truck

driver for Johnson Farms, Walhalla, N.D., and for Valley Express in Fargo.

Since 1995 he has owned and operated the Yak Shak in Vergas and taught kayaking classes at Moorhead State. For numerous years he has also worked for area farmers.

Paul enjoyed woodworking, kayaking, hunting, fishing, scuba diving and snowmobiling.

He is survived by his mother, Elaine Sundby of Rothsay; brothers, Roger Sundby of Rothsay, Jon

Sundby of Moorhead and Eric (Cindy) Sundby of Vergas; nieces, Bridget (Todd) Jackson, Fargo; and Amanda Sundby of Moorhead.

Paul was preceded in death by his father, Rodney Sundby; his grandparents; and an uncle, Dewey.

Service: 2:30 p.m. Sunday, at New Life Lutheran Church, Rothsay
