Runaway pig found by neighbor

An Otter Tail County sheriff’s deputy responded to an odd call on Monday, when a resident at 17208 Swan Lake Road called dispatch to report – over the excited sounds of a dog barking in the background – that a white animal was at the front door and wouldn’t leave.

When the deputy arrived, he found a female pot-bellied pig sitting on its haunches on the caller’s front porch. The deputy soon located the pig’s already-searching owner, a neighbor, and returned the animal.
