-Otter girls basketball first-round Section 8AAA game scheduled for Tuesday vs. East Grand Forks, will now take place on Thursday in FF’s Gold Gym at 7 p.m.

-Otter boys basketball final road game the season vs. Brainerd on Tuesday has been cancelled.

3:20 p.m. — The following are press releases from the city of Fergus Falls.

The 7 am Finance Committee for the City of Fergus Falls has been canceled for Wednesday February 29th.

During snow events, the city asks residents and guests to PLEASE MOVE YOUR VEHICLES OFF OF CITY STREETS so crews can plow. Vehicles parked along emergency snow routes may be subject to towing. Please park in your garage, driveway, yard or in one of the municipal lots downtown to keep the streets clear.

If no travel is advised, operations at City Hall, the landfill, the library, the liquor stores and the senior center will be limited or possibly closed until conditions improve. The Police Department encourages no unnecessary travel when these warnings are issued.

Refuse and recycling services may be delayed. Please keep your containers out of the path of the snowplows and be sure to bring them back to the house within 24 hours.

If you have an emergency situation, please call 9-1-1.

City Code requires snow and ice to be removed from sidewalks within 24 hours of the snowfall and this snow cannot be placed in the roadways.

Your help in keeping the fire hydrants free of snow is greatly appreciated. The few minutes of time you invest can really help out the Fire Department in the event of an emergency.

For the safety of your family in an emergency situation, it is recommended you shovel a path from all exits from your home.

Your cooperation in working with the city- especially with the vehicles being parked off the streets is greatly appreciated.

Keep an eye on your roof vents. If they get plugged up with snow, you may get sewer gas in your home. If you are not comfortable going on your roof to check the vents, please hire this work out and be safe.

Please keep the area around your gas meter free of snow as it will not work properly if this area is full of snow.
