Perham one game away from state

By defeating Pelican Rapids on Tuesday, the Perham Yellowjackets boys basketball team is one game away from the Class AA state tournament for the second straight year.

The Jackets won 57-54 in Moorhead in the section semifinal contest.

Perham (26-2) will face Bagley in the Section 8AA final on Friday in Bemidji. Pelican Rapids (25-4) was led by Ryan Bruggeman’s 18 points. Casey Bruggeman scored 15 points.

Anderson led the Yellowjackets with a game-high 20 points. Jordan Bruhn, who went 7 for 14 from the free-throw line, scored 18 points and Jordan Cresap registered 17 points.
