Two assaulted at pub [UPDATED]

A Wahpeton man is being held at the Richland County Jail in North Dakota after allegedly cutting two people with a knife at the Firehouse Pub in Wahpeton on Sunday.

According to the Wahpeton Police Department, the report of an assault came in around 1:30 p.m. The alleged assault suspect, James McLaren, 24, was being detained by witnesses.

Police learned that a Breckenridge man and a Barney, N.D. man had allegedly been cut by McLaren on the arm and hand, respectively. McLaren was arrested, and one of the men was treated for his injury (the other refused treatment.
