Elizabeth man arrested for assault

A 28-year-old rural Elizabeth man was arrested by sheriff’s deputies Wednesday night after allegedly using a knife during a domestic dispute.instrument

Dustin James Hanstad was arrested for second and fifth degree assault and making terroristic threats, the sheriff’s office reported.

Shortly before 11 p.m., deputies were called to a home at 15355 County Highway 10 after a report of a domestic disturbance involving a knife. Hanstad and a female who allegedly had minor injuries from an assault were found at the residence.

Deputies allegedly found Hanstad to be intoxicated.

He was taken into custody at the scene.
