Editor’s note: This is the first in a series recognizing The Journal’s volunteer sports photographers during the winter season.

With her son, Clay, on the Fergus Falls swim team, Kirsten Danielson photographed virtually every swim meet for The Journal this year, including the state meet.

Danielson shoots all the sporting events her sons participate in, such as swimming, track and cross country to help promote the athletes and their accomplishments. It would be rare to find Danielson without her camera alongside her — even if it is just a point and shoot.

Danielson is employed at the City of Fergus Falls as a computer programmer and has worked there for over 12 years. She especially enjoys teaching tap dance at the Fergus Falls School of Dance and taking pictures of their amazing dancers.
