Ashby juveniles hurt in crash

An Ashby 17-year-old and two of her juvenile passengers were injured Monday when her van collided with a car near Crookston, the Minnesota State Patrol reported.includes

The 17-year-old was driving south on Polk County Highway 75 when she came to the intersection with U.S. Highway 2. She stopped at the intersection, but she did not yield to an oncoming car heading west, the state patrol reported. The two entered the intersection at the same time and collided.

In addition to the three juvenile injuries, the other car’s driver, Taylor Semrau, 21, of Grand Forks, N.D., was hurt. He and the juveniles were treated at a local hospital.

Four other juveniles in the Ashby teen’s car were unhurt. The van was totaled.
