Police suspect two in graffiti damage

Fergus Falls police are gathering evidence against two men who allegedly caused thousands of dollars in vandalism damage to various properties around the city over the last year and a half.

Zachary Joseph Karels, 23, and Samuel Harrison Busko, 20, are believed to have spray painted several public and private surfaces. Over the last year and a half, police have received numerous reports of the words “create,” “verb,” and “tzc” painted in a variety of locations.

Charges have not yet been filed.

The police could not identify a suspect for the crimes until Tuesday, when they learned that two people were attempting to spray paint Broken Down Dam. Officers responded to the dam and allegedly found Karels and Busko there.
