The West Central Area Knights softball team fell behind early and never recovered in their Prairie Conference game against Long Prairie-Grey Eagle on Tuesday.

The Knights, the road team, started out strong with an RBI single by McKenna Blehr, which drove in Mikaylah Stark. Ashton Blair would then steal a base, allowing Amy Benson to score from third. Knight starter pitcher Lauryn McLaughlin never found her rhythm walking eight in the opening inning, and allowing 10 hits right from the start. LP-GE clean up hitter Maggie Chapin went 4-for-4, with a triple and a home run.

The Knights (0-6) have a week to recover before playing Eagle Valley at home on April 27 at 5 p.m.
