OTC Bulldogs down B-H/V 9-4

The Otter Tail Central baseball team plated eight runs in the fifth inning, and defeated Bertha-Hewitt/Verndale 9-4 on Thursday in Battle Lake.

Five walks, a hit batsman and three hits in the key inning. Bulldogs Cole Eitzen and Alec Mattson both had RBI doubles in the frame.

Zane Lind smashed an RBI single in the victory.

“Zach Torgerson pitched a great game for us today,” said OTC’s coach Steve Bradsteen. “Marty Charest had an RBI double in the third inning. B-H/V pitchers kept us at bay until the fifth inning.”

Zach Torgerson picked up the victory on the mound, and Charest also pitched for Otter Tail Central.
