Otters sweep Apollo

The Fergus Falls Otter softball team had a joyous bus ride home from St. Cloud on Tuesday as the Otters defeated St. Cloud Apollo 8-4 and 6-5. Otter pitcher Sadie Knudson earned two victories on Tuesday for Fergus Falls in St. Cloud.

Game one

Down 1-0, Fergus Falls put a five spot on the scoreboard, and took a 5-1 lead. The Otters extended the lead to 7-1 in the fifth inning.

Sydney Schultz, who scored a run, and Gabby Stocks, who had two RBIs and a run, both posted a single hit in the victory.

Game two

After falling behind 5-0, the Otters scored six straight runs in the dramatic fifth inning. The Otters had 13 hits in the victory, with seven of the hits in the big fifth inning.

Otter May Swiontek was credited with a bases-loaded single and knocked in a run.

Kayla Norman, Devonie Smith, Mariah Monke and Taylor King all delivered RBI singles.
