Otter Tail Central’s Marty Charest and Aaron Butler had big games, but their efforts were not enough as the Bulldogs fell to state-ranked New York Mills Tuesday, 6-1 and 7-2.

In game one, Marty Charest was 2-3 for OTC while Collin Teich scored the only run in the sixth inning on a sacrifice fly by Butler.

Bulldogs’ pitcher Zach Torgerson gave up only five hits, but the defense committed five errors.

In game 2, Butler went 2-3 with an RBI double in the first inning.

Once again, New York Mills’ pitching dominated, with Brandon Kupfer giving up only four hits.

“Our hitters had too many strikeouts today,” OTC coach Steve Bradsteen of his team’s 12 strikeouts. “We need to put the ball in play in order to be successful.”
