Ashby falls 7-3 to Frazee

The Ashby Arrows hosted the Frazee Hornets on Thursday afternoon and the Arrows lost by a score of 7-3.

“The Hornets played great defense against our Arrows,” said Ashby coach Kandace Norby. “We had six innings that we had runners in scoring position, but weren’t able to capitalize with a timely hit to score.”

Offensive leaders were Amber Sundal who went 2-for-3, and Cassandra Jordan who went 2-for-4. Paige Nelson, Emily Elliott, Jeannette Evavold, Bailey Funkhouser and Jaden Witt each picked up one hit.

Nelson was tagged with the loss against a tough Frazee team. Nelson gave up seven runs on 10 hits. She struck out three and walked five batters.
