The Henning School Board made the decision to offer Dean Krogstad the position of superintendent at their meeting April18.diffusion

Krogstad, currently the superintendent of Norman County East, was offered the position pending that the district and Krogstad come to terms on a contract and that he passes a federal background check.

The School Board picked Krogstad after interviewing six possible candidates, out of the 13 applicants. Battle Lake School Superintendent and 9-12 Principal Jeff Drake was also a finalist for the position.

Henning was looking to replace current superintendent Dean Soutor as he announced he will be retiring at the end of June.
