Stroh is a letter winner in football for three years, and was team captain this past season. He also lettered for three years in basketball and for three years in track and field.

He was a 2012 winner of the the Minnesota State High School League Excel Award. Stroh is a member of the National Honor Society and is vice president of his class.

He participated in the one-act play competition, and he is in the choir and the pep band. He is also a member of the speech team.

Stroh joined the Tiger Scouts when he was five, joined the Cub Scouts at age 8, and at 11 became a Boy Scout. He has held the positions of webmaster, assistant patrol leader, scribe and patrol leader. He received his Church Religious Award through the Lutheran Church.

His Eagle Scout project involved building a shotput ring and a discus ring at his high school. He participates in those events in track.

He used his family’s tractor to level the area, obtained sand and dirt as a donation. He was able to use recycled fencing for the discus pit.

The project cost $500 and he received the money through the Underwood Community Education Association. The track team, coaches, family, Scout members and parents helped with the project.

The three-school area now has a legal throwing area for competitive events.

He is looking at North Dakota State University or St. Cloud State and hopes to major in biotechnologies or computer science.
