Ashby takes down Ortonville

The Ashby Arrows softball team came from behind in a win over the Ortonville Trojans on Thursday 9-5.

The Arrows were down 3-0 going in to the bottom of the fourth inning, when the Arrows hammered out five hits and scored five runs. In the sixth inning, the Trojans cranked a two-run home run and were threatening when Paige Nelson made a huge play turning a double play to end the inning. Ashby tacked on two insurance runs in bottom half of the sixth inning.

Overall, the Arrows racked up 12 hits on the day. The offensive come back was lead by Jeannette Evavold who was 3-for-4 with one RBI, Cassandra Jordan who was 2-for-3 with one RBI.
