Detroit Lakes was first with 317 points, Pelican Rapids was sixth with 366.

Senior Morgan Shuck shot her best round of the year, pacing the Otters with an 88.

“Morgan played very well today and showed the type of golf that she is capable of playing for us,” said Jon Harris, Fergus’ girls coach.

She was followed by Nikki Ellingson with an 94; Megan Niblock 95; Caitlyn Nygaard 102; Anna Monke; Morgan Daniels 110.

“We were very pleased with our team score today of 379 finishing seventh in the 13-team field,”yet, we realize that we can play even better if we don’t lose our concentration on the course.

“ We need to continue to work on our short game, chipping and putting.”

Fergus Falls is back in action on Saturday, as they travel to Alexandria to participate in the Alexandria Invitational at Geneva Golf Course
