EL man extradited for criminal sexual conductPublished 10:46am Tuesday, May 15, 2012
The 49-year-old Elbow Lake man convicted for first degree criminal sexual conduct in 2010 for kidnapping his stepdaughter from the WestRidge Mall and sexually assaulting her has been extradited to Douglas County, Ga., for alleged sexual contact with two underage girls in 2007 — one of them reportedly the same person who he kidnapped.
The Douglas County Sentinel reports that David Randy Sabby has been charged in Georgia with one count of statutory rape, one count of aggravated child molestation and two counts of child molestation. He is currently serving a prison term in Minnesota.
Sabby allegedly exposed himself to one girl multiple times and had sexual contact with the other girl, who had been the victim of similar crimes involving Sabby since she was six, according to information supplied to the Sentinel by police in Villa Rica, Ga.
Sabby’s infamous case in Fergus Falls began when he abducted his step-daughter at gunpoint from the WestRidge Cinema parking lot on the evening of March 7, 2009. Court records stated that he sexually assaulted her in a cabin near Swan Lake, before eventually releasing her and allowing her to take his truck. She called authorities in the early morning hours of March 8.
Sabby was also convicted of criminal sexual conduct involving the same girl in Grant County.
