Viking girls golf take HOL meet

MOORHEAD — The Pelican Rapids girls golf team took home a team victory Monday afternoon winning the Heart O Lakes Conference meet at The Meadows Golf Course with a 357 team score.

The Vikings took the top spot with Perham (368) and Hawley (413) rounding out the top three.

In individual results, Rachel Nelson of Perham shot an 82 for medalist honors, while Pelican Rapids Taylor Filippini took second with an 87. Perham s Destiny Mitchell and Pelican Rapids Mackenzie Stand and Alexa Bekkerus all shot an 88 for a three way tie for third.

 

Team Results: 1. Pelican Rapids 357, 2. Perham 368, 3. Hawley 413, 4. Barnesville 425, 5. DGF 438, 6. Frazee 447, 7. WCA 474, 8. Breckenridge 504.

 

Individual Results: 1. Rachel Nelson (PER) 82, 2. Taylor Filippini (PR) 87, 3T. Destiny Mitchell (PER) 88, 3T. Mackenzie Strand (PR) 88, 3T. Alexa Bekkerus (PR)88.
