Alcoholic beverages will now be OK to drink on the grounds of Veterans’ Park and the All School Reunion site in Elbow Lake during Flekkefest Aug. 3-5, thanks to a variance recently passed by the Elbow Lake City Council.Love

In recent years, drinking at Flekkefest has been limited to a small fenced in area.

The school playground and Veterans’ Park will have signs posted saying, “No alcohol beyond this point.”

According to the Grant County Herald, City Police Chief Luverne Sik approved of the variance, and all but one of the council members voted in favor of the change.
