Ottertail church buys new organ [UPDATED]

The congregation at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Ottertail can now enjoy the sounds of a new organ thanks to $33,000 raised by parishioners.

The church purchased the new instrument because the old organ was beginning to wear out. Although the new organ is slightly used, it will still be a big upgrade for the church.

The new organ is able to record music and play it back, so organists at St. Johns can record music to be played without anyone sitting at the in front of the instrument.

The old organ was donated to St. Johns’ sister church in Richville.
