ALEXANDRIA — The Otter Tail Central softball team used a steady attack to top Minnewaska Area 4-2 in the Section 6AA playoffs Tuesday.

OTC took an early one run lead with a Brianna Kimber RBI single in the first. The Bulldogs were able to add two more runs in the sixth inning as Carly VanWatermulen smacked a solo homerun and Marissa Roden hit a sacrafice fly.

The Lakers threatened in the bottom half of the sixth as they scored two runs and left the bases loaded. OTC added an insurance run in the seventh and closed out Minnewaska in the bottom half.

Shaina Underhill picked up the win as she went all seven innings fanning two and allowing six hits.

The Bulldogs will now travel to Waite Park to take on the Staples-Motley Cardinals in the section championship game Thursday at 4:30 p.m.
