BRANDON — The Parkers Prairie softball team bats exploded in the first inning scoring eight runs on the way to a 10-0 victory over Ashby Thursday in Section 6A playoffs.functions

The Panthers put the pressure on early scoring eight runs on seven hits in the bottom half of the first.

Ashby struggled to get their bats going and could not recover.

Amber Sundal, Bailey Funkhouser and Jeanette Evavold each collected one of the Arrows three hits in the game.

“The team will miss the dedication, leadership, team support and determination of our seniors Jaden Witt and Kellie Anderson next year,” Ashby Coach Kandace Norby said. “We wish them the best of luck. I’m proud of all of the girls on making it to the second round in the sub sections.”

The Arrows finish the season with a 9-11 record.
