OTC’s Thalmann takes 2nd, advances to state [UPDATED]

FERGUS FALLS — Otter Tail Central’s Kaleb Thalmann earned runner-up honors at the section 6A boys golf tournament and a trip to state after shooting an 80 at Pebble Lake Golf Course.

Beau Hanson of Frazee took the section individual title with a round of 72, while teammate Zach Ziegler finished with a 82 for third place.

Kyle Klintworth (88), Tyler Ukkelberg (89), Adam Young (90), Patrick Dilly (90) and Jordan DeBauche (99) rounded out the Bulldogs’ scores.

Mahnomen captured the section team title as they shot a score of 339 at the event.

The Class A state tournament will be held at Pebble Creek Golf Course in Becker on June 12-13
