Haugrud, Stroh win state titles

ST. PAUL – Pelican Rapids’ Sommer Haugrud and Otter Tail Central’s Steffan Stroh each capture a title at the state Class A track and field meet Saturday at Hamline University.

Haugrud took home the top honor in the 200 meter dash with a time of 25.73 and just missed out on two titles, taking second in the 100 meter dash (12.57).

In boys action, Stroh was able to pick up a win in discus with a throw of 159’05 Saturday, after picking up a second place finish on Friday in the shot put with a throw of 52-07.75.
