Really,
This film is in our city and this is what you could come up with. Did you see the full story that valley news did, A full length feature story, and our local paper can only come up with this ? I am thinking maybe someone should send a reporter up to the building and actually hold interviews with some of the production crew, actors, and director. Maybe you will find for your story that many of the actors (especially children) are local children from our city and area. I think the people in the city of fergus falls might find that interesting. I can’t tell you how to do your job, I’m just saying this is what i would want to read in a story, not just a picture and a four sentences.
The RTC has finally gotten some use, There is finally some news about the place, good news, people having the ability use this facility, a reason not to tear it down. The Save the Kirkbride members should be ecstatic because this is the best thing that could ever happen to the RTC. They are actually getting (Valley news anyway) some exposure.
While I am happy to see the RTC used for some purpose, I can’t help but wish the city council had not failed in wooing a real Hollywood A-list director to the site.Instead, its “visual virginity” will be squandered on a B -list, straight to video, low rent, trashy movie. A locale like the RTC should have brought a Spielberg to our town, IMO. It could have made another “Shining”. Now it will be more blood and guts axe wielders, I fear. Ho-Hum…
Not to say, Jack Nicholson doesn’t wield a mean axe!
No article? No story? Just a picture with a caption? WTF. Nice reporting.
