Tami Jo Pederson, 29, of Fergus Falls, died Saturday, June 16, 2012, at Sanford Health in Fargo, North Dakota.

She was born May 12, 1983, in Wheaton, Minnesota, the daughter of Dale and Brenda (Bates) Wilts. She grew up in Herman, graduating from Herman High School in 2001. She then attended MSCTC Moorhead, where she graduated from the Dental Assistant program in 2003.

She worked as a dental assistant in Fargo for a year, and for the past nine years has worked with Dr. Craig Rude in Fergus Falls.

On June 5, 2010, she married Trent Pederson at Sverdrup Lutheran Church. They made their home in Fergus Falls. She loved to clean and was always prepared for everything. Through the years she was the caretaker and maintained Dad’s house as the family home.

Tami aspired to be a gardener.

Preceding her in death were her grandparents, Vern and Gertie Wilts.

Survivors include her husband, Trent, and her son, Jace Jo, of Fergus Falls; her father, Dale Wilts of Herman; her mother, Brenda Wilts of Fargo; two sisters, Nicole (James) Bowman of Aberdeen, S.D., and Jamie (Scott) Bertram of Herman; nieces and nephews Morgan and Brayden Bowman, and Makayla and Hayley Bertram; and her grandparents, Don and Marilyn Bates of Fargo.

Visitation: Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m., at the funeral home, and one hour prior to the service at the school.

Service: 11 a.m. Thursday, at the Herman High School Gymnasium, Herman

Burial: Lakeside Cemetery, Herman
