Health department fines NYM pool [UPDATED]

Published 8:57am Friday, June 22, 2012 Updated 12:00pm Friday, June 22, 2012

The Legried Community Swimming Pool in New York Mills sent a wave of costs to the city after an inspection from the Minnesota Department of Health.

The city had to pay around $2,000 in license fees for this year and back pay, including late fees for last year’s license. While the payments were made immediately to ensure the pool could open as soon as possible, it looks like the pool will soon drain $40,000 more in the near future because the floor is in need of replacing.
