West Otter Tail Lake parade gets new rules [UPDATED]
Published 7:41am Friday, June 29, 2012 Updated 1:30pm Friday, June 29, 2012“No throwing things” is the new policy at the annual West Otter Tail Parade, that will be held 1 p.m. Sunday, July 1 on the West side of Otter Tail Lake.
Because of liability issues, candy throwing, water balloons, hoses and squirt guns will not be allowed at this year’s parade. Participants who wish to distribute candy or trinkets can do so by walking along side floats or cars and hand things to onlookers.
There is no fee to enter, and all are welcome to participate. The lineup will begin at 12:30 p.m. on Eldorado Beach Road near the nursing home. It will end at the public access just south of Zorbaz on Highway 72, the Battle Lake Review reported.
