The Fergus Falls Hurricanes were able to snap a three-game losing streak Sunday afternoon as they defeated the Audubon Xpress 10-0.

The game started out slow for the ‘Canes, but a three-run fifth inning put Fergus in the driver’s seat.

Audubon struggled to get their footing in the game as the ‘Canes were able to pour on seven runs in the last two innings of play to ice the game.

‘Canes’ Kyle Shaikoski picked up the win pitching eight scoreless innings and striking out seven before being relieved by Jake Heck in the final frame.

Jamie Jacklitch led the Fergus hitters going 2 for 5 with two runs scored and an RBI , while teammate Casey Bovkoon went 2 for 5 with two runs score in the win.

The ‘Canes move to 10-3 in the Countryside League and host league leading Vergas Loons Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at American Legion Field.
