A camper trailer caught fire early Sunday evening as its owners were driving near the intersection of county roads 1 and 111 in northwest Fergus Falls.

The fire department reported that an electrical problem started a fire on the back wall of the camper as it was being towed around 5:30 p.m. The owner stopped driving and quickly went after the fire with a fire extinguisher.

The fire department was called to the scene, but the camper had already been extinguished by the time firefighters arrived. The back end of the camper was damaged, but the rest of it was undamaged.
