Lake Lida junior golf tourney scheduled

PELICAN RAPIDS — The Lida Greens Golf Course will be holding their annual Lake Lida Junior Golf Tournament on Sunday, August 12.

Registration will begin at 8 a.m. The tournament is $16 per individual and will include three flights — ages 13 to 17, ages 12 and under and championship flight.

The 12 and under flight will begin at 9 a.m. with two-person team scramble. Ages 13 to 17 will play a two-person best ball, beginning at 11 a.m.

The championship flight will begin at 1 p.m. with qualifiers taking part in individual competition. Trophies will be awarded to the winners of the boys’ and girls’ division in this flight.

Last year’s winner, Mitch Kochman of Mahnomen, shot a 73 to take the crown. There was not a girls champion last year.
