Ashby’s new school principal begins duties [UPDATED]

Tappe had worked at Grygla district

On July 1, Shane Tappe took over the position of Ashby School principal.

Tappe grew up in Detroit Lakes, and after graduating from high school, he received his undergraduate degree from St. Cloud State University. He then attended Minnesota State University Moorhead to get his Masters Principal/Superintendend licensure.

Before becoming the Ashby K-12 principal he taught at Morris High School and then worked as the K-12 principal in Grygla, Minn. for two years.

Tappe is married with three children, and he will soon move into a home on Eagle Lake, the Ashby Dalton Post reported.
