EL may remove BMX track [UPDATED]

The BMX track at Kube Park in Elbow Lake is not getting the use it once did, and the city council is considering its removal.

The track was installed eight years ago, but the group of kids who used to use it are now grown up, and it no longer gets much use, city workers said.

The track’s removal is being considered because workers say it is difficult to maintain and mow around.

Residents are encouraged to contact the Elbow Lake city office if they would like to see the track remain open. After gathering more input from residents, the council will discuss the issue again at its meeting on Aug. 6, according to the Grant County Herald.
