Man hospitalized after crash, truck theft

It was a bad night for Bradley James Warzecha, a 21-year-old Eagle Bend man whose evening ended with an arrest and hospitalization after he allegedly crashed his pickup truck and tried to steal another near Parkers Prairie.

According to the county sheriff’s office, an allegedly intoxicated Warzecha was driving west on County Highway 46 around 2 a.m. today when he lost control on a curve and drove into the embankment on 140th Street, jumping the road and rolling his pickup truck several times. Warzecha suffered injuries to his back.

Those injuries were not enough to keep him down, however, as he allegedly got out of the truck and walked to a nearby address, where he got into another pickup truck and began driving it around the home’s yard. He was stopped by the truck’s owner, and law enforcement came and arrested him for DWI, driving after revocation, and motor vehicle theft. He was taken to Lake Region Hospital in Fergus Falls and eventually transferred to another hospital for further treatment.
