Four school, five city offices up for election [UPDATED]

Fergus Falls residents and those in the local school district will vote to fill four school board positions, four city council spots and the mayor’s office at the general election on Tuesday, Nov. 6. Those who would like their name on the ballot can file for candidacy between July 31 and Aug. 14.

At the city level, Mayor Hal Leland’s first term in office is up. Council members with expiring terms are Eric Shelstad (Ward One), Jim Fish (Ward Two), Pat Connelly (Ward Three) and JoEllen Thacker (Ward Four).

On the school board, there are three four-year terms and one two-year term to be voted on. School board members with expiring terms include Matthew Lemke, Tarma Carlson, Jeff Hohrman and Dave Prazak.
