Battle Lake Lions expect fruit early [UPDATED]

The Battle Lake Lions fruit is expected to arrive three weeks earlier than usual this summer.

Boxes of pears and tree-ripened peaches will be available through the club early in August. Those hoping to purchase fruit should be aware of its early arrival because it doesn’t last very long in storage, so it needs to be picked up in a timely manner.

Peaches and pears are both $20 per box. Those interested should call to request notification of the fruit’s arrival. Contacts include Ken Worden at 218-864-5241, Carl Carlson at 218-864-8678 or Ken Hepper at 218-864-8648.
