Parents of the couple are Duane and Barbara Bjerketvedt of Henning, and Bernard Sr. and Joyce Cruser of Granite Falls.
Melody is a 2002 graduate of Henning Public School, a 2004 graduate of M State-Fergus Falls, and a 2010 graduate of South Dakota State University in Brookings, S.D., where she received her bachelor’s degree in music education. She is employed as an elementary music teacher in Pierre, S.D.
Bernard is a 1993 graduate of Granite Falls-Clarkfield High School and a 2002 graduate of Lake Area Tech in Watertown, S.D.
He is working for the State of South Dakota, providing computer support at the capital in Pierre, S.D.
An Oct. 27, 2012, wedding is planned at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Granite Falls.
