Man breaks into At The Hop [UPDATED]

The Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a burglary in progress at At the Hop diner in Ottertail on Sunday at around 7 a.m.

Clint Howitz, 42, of West Fargo, allegedly forcefully broke into to the diner sometime early Sunday morning. When law enforcement arrived at the scene, Howitz was found sleeping and intoxicated inside the building.

He was placed under arrest and transported to the Otter Tail County Jail. Relevant charges include criminal damage to property and burglary. Deputies from the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office and an officer from the Perham Police Department assisted with the incident.
