Published 11:16am Wednesday, July 18, 2012

A Pelican Rapids man was injured Tuesday morning when he ran his SUV off County Highway 14 and almost hit a house north of Otter Tail Lake.

Randall Nelson, 49, was traveling north on the road when his Chevrolet Blazer went onto the property of 26116 County Highway 14 and hit a retaining wall, the county sheriff’s office reported.

He was taken by ambulance to St. Mary’s Hospital in Detroit Lakes. No one in the home was injured.

The sheriff’s office believes alcohol may have been a factor.
