Daniel Frederick Kramer, 56, of Kewanee, Ill., died Monday, July 30, 2012, in the emergency room at Kewanee Hospital.

He was born Aug. 15, 1955, in Kewanee, the son of Frederick and Marion (Menzenberg) Kramer.

Daniel graduated from Kewanee High School in 1974. He worked as a cook at Courtyard Estates. He enjoyed cooking, collecting various items, being on Facebook and surfing the internet.

Survivors include three sisters, Debra (Dennis) Anderson of Dent, JoAnn (Kenneth) DeSmit of Kewanee and Jean (Wes) Bengtson of Erhard; two nieces; eight nephews; two great-nieces; three great-nephews; and his two beloved cats, Win and Spike.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A private memorial service is planned at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the Henry County Humane Society or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
