Heart attack apparent cause of death

The Pierz man who was found dead in Seven Lake Saturday apparently died of a heart attack, according to media reports from the Fire Academy of North Dakota.

The county sheriff’s office originally reported the death of James Reardon, 51, as a drowning but noted that it did not have an official cause of death.

Today, Reardon’s scuba diving partner told the media that Reardon had died from a heart attack.

Reardon’s lungs were apparently dry, meaning that he did not drown.

Reardon was engaged in a scuba diving survey of the lake before an academy training exercise.
